![]() Most of the reviews I keep finding are using the Max model, which is great but I'm not dumping 2x the cash on the Max for something I'm just starting to work on seriously. DaVinci Resolve 14 Studio combines professional editing, the worlds most advanced color corrector and all new Fairlight digital audio tools into a high. I'm about to bite the bullet on the $1,500 Base model but the RAM is the #1 issue for me. That’s 3840 x 2160, so it’s not possible to do DCI 4K 4096 x 2160 which may be a deal-breaker for some filmmakers. While few of us need to deliver 32K, 4K UHD can be limiting. A lot of times I need to reference footage from older videos or pull things from my Server so I rarely have just davinci open for example. DaVinci Resolve 17 Free can output up to 4K UHD at up to 60fps while the paid studio version can do up to 32K at 120fps with advanced HDR delivery. ![]() I guess my question is, has anyone seen any issues with just the 16GB of Unified Memory? Most notably multitasking while editing videos. ![]() Over the years, Resolve has been growing from an industry-standard color grading software to a more complete post-production solution. I'm most likely going to stick with the 14-Inch because I do carry the laptop everywhere, and the majority of the time I'll have to do said editing is at the Office, so I'd like to not break my back □ Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio 16 adds an all-new Cut page to its editing, color grading, Fusion VFX, and Fairlight audio post-production pages. I mostly work with 4k HDR Footage for my Gaming Channel, but I also do ProRes footage for Trips & Vacations that I go on. I previously had a M1 MBA but the 8GB of RAM Always gave me issues with it, and I always felt like I had weird performance issues with it. ![]() The Reason I'm debating a Mac is because those M2s are just monsters for this. Hey Y'all, I've been in the market for a high-end Laptop for a while now because I'm looking to start getting into starting my Video/Photo Editing stuff back up again, and I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations as to what I should go for. ![]()
